Hi! I’m Martin

I’ve been one of the contributing staff writers on both Themeisle and WPShout for close to three years now. My content has ranged from helpful guides on how to use the WordPress block editor, to security topics, to the latest WordPress news. I even built a WordPress plugin from scratch and wrote about my experience.

One of the articles I came up with and oversaw the production of during my time as the lead editor for the BloggingPro blog, has driven more than 110,000 visitors to the site in the past year. There are several reasons for this, but one of them is understanding what people are looking for when they search for something and delivering on it.

My editorial experience has taught me that excellence comes from more than just polishing grammar or fixing typos. When I edit, I bring a detective’s eye for detail and a mentor’s approach to feedback. I dig deep, question assumptions, and ensure every piece of content stands on solid ground. My writers appreciate the constructive feedback because it helps them grow.

I’ve been running a quirky tech newsletter for two years now and have grown it from a subscriber base of around 7,000 to more than 14,000 while attracting some paid sponsors in the process.

I started a personal blog on Medium back in 2018. It mostly contains a mix of my travel reflections, life as an expat, and calisthenics tips. My most popular post has been read by close to 30,000 people. I’ve also had work published in online newspapers like the Slovak Spectator.
